Celestial Blue (it's a working title) is now getting ready to recruit a bunch of people to help out! It's a free single-player RPG where you get to run around and do stuff in a post-apocalyptic setting. (One that isn't just BROWN REALISTIC BROWN BLOOM GRIT BROWN BROWN!) That's the jist of it anyway, though if you want more background info just ask

Anyway we're looking for a bunch of people to help work on this in their free time. So we're pretty much looking for most things at the moment - programmers (maybe), modelers, writers, concept artists, musicians, etc. Though this time we're gonna keep the team size relatively small compared to the 30 or 40 people we had running around last time doing their own thing :P

Here's some current stuff we've got so far, though most of it is just rough sketches.
Some of the older things back from 2008 are still useable too, like these:

Anyway I'm in charge of programming and apparently modelers, ALRadeck is in charge of concept art, writers, etc, and Sausabe's in charge of music.

Each of us will decide how many of each type we want, so there isn't really any set number we're trying to fill, but at the same time we don't want to get huge like we did last time, because that obviously didn't work ;P

Our main emphasis is that this is something we're all doing in our free time. There are no deadlines (but if you want some we can give you some) or requirements on how much you contribute. We're all doing this for fun and for something to do, so if that's what you're looking for then you might be interested!

Other info:
:bulletblue: It's in C#, using a wrapper for OGRE, irrKlang, PhysX, Miyagi, and Lua for scripting
:bulletblue: Collaboration will be done on Skype mostly, as it's good for group chats and keeps everyone in sync. Dropbox for file sharing. SVN for code (Yeah yeah I know it sucks but at least everyone's familiar with it). There's also an old forum we used in 2008 that we can reuse
:bulletblue: Nobody's getting paid, but you retain all rights to everything you make and can do whatever the hell you want with them, as long as we can do what we want with them even after you leave (if you do)

So, are you interested? If you are, send a note to the appropriate person with the following info:
- Name/Alias:
- Position applying for:
- How long you've been doing it:
- Any previous projects you've worked on:
- Hours available per week (yes a rough estimate is fine):
- Examples of your work:

So that's me for programming/modeling, ALRadeck for other art/writing, and Sausabe for music.

If you have any questions, please ask :P

I don't know what you're using for the maps, but unity is a very good (and free!) program to use. At the Art Institute, I learned about it, and recently found a couple tutorials on mdels in unity. There are still new programs being created for Unity, such as a road path system and a cave system. To import models and textures, all you have to do is click on the files and drag them into the program's asset list. Then you just drag them onto the map (for models) or onto the doodad/character (for textures). It's really easy to use. Heck, I'm trying to create a cinematic with Unity.
